So I am needing some help from anyone or everyone out there to help me decide whether to cut my hair or not. I am too indecisive to figure this out alone and Glen, like the sweet husband he is tells me he would like it both ways. Not too helpful.
Reasons to cut it:
-Matthew is constantly pulling on it and sometimes comes away with a small handful
-It is humid here and so I don't do it anyway because it turns into a poofy, frizzy curly mess
-It has been long since my senior year of high school
Reasons not to cut it:
-It does look really pretty when I actually do it
-Short hair might make my face look very round and chubby?
-Every experience I have trying something different usually ends in a disaster (let's not forget the orange hair from a few months ago)
Please cast your vote!!!!!!!!!

The Maumee river in Downtown Toledo
After Glen's white coat ceremony we ate at a fancy resturaunt right along the river. It was a fun place and very pretty by the river.
Some of Glen's family came up on Friday for the festivities
DOCTOR GLEN, well not quite yet but doesn't he look good with his new white coat on. They had a white coat ceremony for the entering class on Friday. Glen has been going to orientation everyday this last week and school offically starts this coming Monday. He got his note packet for his first test which is in two weeks. It is as thick as a big textbook, should be fun.
Here is our townhome!! As many of you know, we have had a horrible time with our apartment and to make a long story short, we are getting out of it and moving yet again. We are having to pay some money to get out but it is worth it to not have to deal with them anymore. We feel so blessed to have found this townhome and we are starting to move in. It is so much nicer than the apartment we were in; it has a washer and dryer, garage, and a small lawn, and is in a lot nicer neighborhood. We won't be completely moved in until Saturday, that is when we are moving our furniture with a Uhaul. We are so excited and are feeling so much better about living in ToledoSunday, August 12, 2007
Our home for the next 4 years!

We have made it to Toledo! Matthew did great on the drive out here and we made it in two days. As many of you know, we have had quite the time getting into our apartment and now getting things fixed.....some of the walls painted and the carpets replaced. They are not too quick with anything so it could be awhile. This is a lesson in patience for me but we are hopefull that it will all get done and when it does it will look great. Things are going good out herel though. We have been to our ward twice and it is great. We already feel a strong connection with the other medical student families which there are quite a few of. I think I could become good friends with many of the girls. I imagine we (the girls) will become very good friends during these next four years. We went up to Michigan to visit Glen's family and went to Toronto to visit his grandparents. It was good to see all of them again and it is great to have family so close. I do miss being with my family in Malta. We really loved being there for the summer and I was so glad that everyone got to know Matthew so well. I love you all!!!! We have been busy unpacking but have found a little time to go to the swimming pool and drive around the area. There is a really nice park that is close by that is huge. I need to start going for walks everyday over there. It is very different here but it is going to be great. I will have to send pictures soon. I will send pictures of the apartment once it is all done, which could be awhile. Love you all!

FAMILY
Thursday, July 12, 2007
There are a lot of pictures of these two, I guess we as their parents decided that they have to be best friends. Thomas was born on October 21st and Matthew was born on November 21st. You got to love Matthew's fat rolls in this picture. He actually is thinning out these days we think. He is getting taller so he doesn't look quite as chubby as he did

Lau Family Update
I just wanted to give everyone an update about everything going on here. Glen is still working hard on the farm driving tractor and the last couple of days he has been painting. It is always pretty windy here in Malta and Glen came home looking very blue (blue paint)!! My Dad nicknamed him Papa Smurf. Let's just say that painting is not his favorite job. I went to Logan on Tuesday and visited my sister in law Ashley and brother Nolan. Ashley and I had a lot of fun shopping and we found some great deals. We bought some clothes for Thomas and Matthew that were only 97 cents. I also found a pair of jeans for me that cost $1.97!! Ashley and I then made quite the funny purchase. We bought bumper pads for a baby girl. No, we aren't announcing anything. They were so cute from Pottery Barn and were more than half off. We probably won't ever have a girl now. Yesterday Glen and I went out to eat for our anniversary. It was nice to be able to go without Matthew for a change. My dad tended Matthew and put him to sleep and everything. I was very proud! It has been too hot here and Glen and I decided we for sure want to live somewhere that has seasons!! The rest of the summer is really busy.

Matthew Update
I really need to take some more recent pictures of Matthew. They will be on there way soon. Matthew is changing so much to me lately. He is our little social butterfly. He loves looking at people. He would rather have someone sit and talk to him than play with toys most of the time. He will stare at you until you look at him and smile and then he gives his big, wide, gummy smile right back at you. It is so cute!! For the past little while he has been sitting up which makes him seem so old. He loves it and so do I because he can see better and play with toys longer that way. The other day he sat in the shopping cart without a car seat and it was so fun. He is also eating oatmeal cereal which has been a blast. At first he loved it so much and would just open his mouth so wide and kick his legs in excitement. We are going to wait awhile to feed him other stuff but for now he's loving the cereal. Matthew is now weighing in at about 23 pounds. Our little chunker does not seem to be slowing down. He is just getting funner and funner as more of his personalitly comes out. He is talking a lot which is cute but a little loud for church. He is giggling a lot, sometimes I dance crazy in front of him and he laughs or if Glen and I are laughing he joins in. Lately his has been pretty cranky because his two bottom teeth are definately coming in. This is causing me some very tired arms from holding him so much.
GRADUATION!!
Picnic before Graduation at Rock Canyon Park. Glen and I got engaged up rock canyon!!! ohhh!
After graduation with the parents. It was a fun day to have our families with us on this special day. We packed up all our stuff that morning for the move so it was a busy day. It was a very bitter sweet time for us leaving Provo. We have really enjoyed it and it was sad to leave our friends, school, and just all of the memories we have had here. The night before we left was kind of sad. We slept on a blow up mattress in our empty apartment and of course I started crying talking about leaving. The best times of my life has been here; hooking up with Glen on our ward activity to temple square to see the lights and eventually getting married in the Salt Lake Temple, and then having Matthew in November. However, we are really excited to be moving to Ohio in August. We just about have our apartment there figured out. It has been such a pain getting that figured out over the phone. The people made us send them so much stuff but I think it's almost over. I'm excited because our apartment is right next to the medical school so Glen can just walk to school and Matthew and I can walk over and eat lunch with him. We will also be close to Glen's family in Detroit which is a little less than 2 hours away. There is a park and a zoo and the grocery store close by, all which are very important and which I will be spending a lot of time at with Matthew. Overall, we are excited to be moving on and doing something all new for us. Saturday, May 19, 2007
Family Cruise!!
So family, when is our next cruise?? I wanted to put this picture up to remind everyone how fun it was and that we should start working on mom and dad right now! I think Jonathan wants to go to Lake Powell next summer except that it is getting really expensive. So I think most of us would agree that if it is that expensive we might as well go on a cruise right? Just a thought. Friday, May 18, 2007
Here we are in Idaho!
Glen and I are staying here for the summer in a little house close to my parents and my brother and his family. Glen is working on the farm!! It is funny to see my city boy coming home all dirty and talking about the beet fields and pivots. He is liking it so that is good. He still however wants to be a doctor-he doesn't like it that much I guess. He works long hours and I am trying to keep myself busy, although Matthew does a pretty good job of doing that. I have been doing my scrapbook since I am years behind, walking every morning, visiting with my mom and sister in law, and
just being a mom. We really thought this first picture was funny. We forgot to put on the overalls and straw hats though. It's funny because that is not what farming is really like out here. We have no animals and they spend a lot of time in air conditioned tractors with cd pl
ayers. Glen is spraying beets everyday and rides the 4-wheeler like in the picture. It is different not living in the city. I guess it saves us a lot of money because we can't really go out to eat or shopping for clothes very easy. It looks like we will be moving to Ohio for sure so we are looking forward to that. I am excited for two bedrooms and a dishwasher. We really are moving up in the world one thing at a time.

GRRRR statistics...
One day Matthew helped me do statistics. Well, he actually was crying and so I put him on the bed with me and surprisingly, he watched the computer screen and let me finish my lesson. What a good boy. About a month and I will be done with stats forever!! Matthew's face explains my feelings about stats exactly!!
Still at BYU
Glen and I are excited to be graduating from BYU in April. You are all invited to come to our graduation if you want. We will let you know exactly when it is soon. School is going well for Glen and I am enjoying my internship. It's been fun to help people set goals about exercise and nutrition and actually see them motivating themselves and being excited about it. This picture was at a football game a week before Matthew was due. We have really enjoyed BYU and living in Provo!
