Happy Easter
Yesterday the kids and I headed to the zoo because it was such a beautiful day. We stayed for hours which was unusual for us. Since we have a membership and can go whenever we usually stay only an hour or so. Glen had to work yesterday so we took our time which was fun. I will put up more pictures soon of our trip to the zoo but here is some just of the kids. I am so grateful for these sweet, beautiful, healthy and happy kids.
Love the eyelashes
We are at that weird smile phase.

Best friends
We went to a park last month sometime and as you can see from the pictures there were not too many people there; it was quite cold. The kids had a lot of fun though!
They played this little game where each of them went down a slide or pole and then they would run towards each other and give each other a big hug......then they would do it all over again. I think they were a lot warmer than Glen and I.
The hug in the middle
Let's do it again!!
And a funny face from Matthew; no surprise there.

We are ready for you spring!!!
This picture has nothing to do with the post but I couldn't post without some sort of picture. This is Taylor on Glen's birthday; she had eaten so much so she was showing us her huge belly.
I just checked the forecast and saw that in Toledo it feels like 35 degrees right now and in Memphis it feels like 75 degrees. Come on spring!!! I think it was a bad idea to add Memphis weather as one of my saved locations on The Weather Channel. The good news is that we packed up 7 boxes today and I cleaned out all the cupboards in our bathroom. It feels so good to have some empty bookshelves and cupboards. I am trying to do as much as we can now so that when it does actually warm up here in Toledo we can just play outside instead of being stuck inside packing.

Our home in less than 2 months!!
Glen and I had a good trip down to Memphis to look for a house. We left the kids with Glen's parents up in Michigan. We are so grateful they were willing to watch the kids because we could not have done the house hunting we did with them. It was busy, stressful, and yes there were tears at one point but we ended up finding a house. We planned on buying but didn't find a house that we felt really good about so we decided to rent this house. We feel so good about it and are very excited to call this new place home on June 4th! It is in such a great location; it is 2 minutes from the church, temple, grocery store, and walking distance to the elementary school. The house is on a cul-de-sac (they call it a cove down there) and has such a big private yard. Glen's rotation is pretty nice right now and he has the whole month of May off! It will be nice to have so much time together before the craziness of residency starts the end of June. I just got these pictures of our house but I included the video of it at the bottom if you really want to look at that too.
Bonus room upstairs...the rest of the rooms are on the main level
It is fun to start thinking of what I want to do with each room and where we will put things. My Mom, Dad, and my brother Jonathan will be here in Toledo for Glen's graduation and will help us drive down to Memphis and get moved in. My Mom is staying a little longer which will be so fun. It will be nice to have her great decorating advice and help with arranging things. I am excited to see Jonathan who is on his mission in Toronto Canada right now; he gets done in May. I am excited for the kids to meet him; Matthew was 18 months old when he saw Jonathan last so I doubt he remembers him.

Trip to Tennessee
Glen and I had a great trip down to Tennessee and the 10 1/2 hour drive went by so fast without kids. It was fun to talk to Glen the whole time without being interrupted. I did really miss these two cuties though. Glen's parents were so great to watch the kids for us!! Glen had to get them Tennessee apparel even though I really do not love orange. We found the shirt and sweatshirt at Once Upon a Child so at least we didn't have to pay very much for them. It was a busy trip and we didn't do too much sight seeing because we spent most all of our time looking for a house....more on the house soon! I loved the town where we are going to be living called Bartlett; it is around 25 minutes from downtown Memphis. I also really like the southern accents and we made sure to get some good barbecue while there. I am excited to have at least 5 years to explore this new place.
We stopped in Nashville to go to church on our way to Memphis. We had an hour before church started so we took a walk around Nashville. It was a fun place to see!
Here is a little comparison of the different type of music that we heard along the street in Nashville and Memphis. We enjoyed the music in Memphis a little more than in Nashville :)
NASHVILLE
I tried to get Glen to take a picture in front of every guitar or Elvis we saw in Nashville. It was fun to be nerdy tourists. I especially love that Glen had to point to each object he took a picture next to.
I took this picture mainly to show these beautiful trees...the purple ones and oh how I wish I had a nicer camera to capture everything. We saw these trees all along the freeway on our way to Memphis. It was just strange to see them line the road like that. It was fun to see things get greener and more spring like as we got further south. It is going to be so hot when we move in.
