Matthew's friends

This is Matthew's little friends Zeb and Cohen (their dads are in Glen's class). We were over at our friends the Sacks to celebrate Justin's birthday. I didn't see this picture being taken and am not sure who was daring enough to put little Zeb on Matthew's lap, probably the dad's. It doesn't look like he is enjoying Matthew's paws on his head. The other night while us women were at enrichment, the 3 dad's of these boys had a man night at our house. They bought pizza and just hung out with the boys. The funny part is that Kent and Justin forgot bottles to feed their boys so Glen gave them each a bottle to use. They had a great time. This picture makes Matthew look like a giant! Thanks Leisy for the picture that I stole from your blog.

Silly boy

Matthew has been very determined lately. He loves this cupboard and the one under the sink. We finally bought the safety things to keep him out. He has unwrapped a few toilet paper rolls. It is pretty funny. Matthew is officially crawling. He really just started scooting last week and on his ten month birthday he just started crawling, we were really happy. He still prefers to just walk along the walls and furniture.....maybe walking is coming!!

Well here it is, I didn't want to post this picture but I was getting many requests so I am giving in. I hope it grows fast. I usually have it in a ponytail and then I am not bothered by it!!

Loving the swing!!

WHEEEE!!! I'M SO HAPPY!!!!!!!

Tuesday Glen didn't have school and so we went to an island on Lake Erie called Put in Bay. We had such a good time and I was happy to have Glen for a whole day. We took a ferry to the island and it was great to be on the water. I love it!! Monday Glen had his second test and he did really good. We went and bought Matthew a new car seat because he is really growing out of his infant one. I will post more pictures of our fun day yesterday.

Fall is coming!!

Matthew's new hat. It was pretty funny last night as we were picking out a hat for Matthew. One of the hats we liked we couldn't get because they didn't have one big enough to fit him. This hat is size 3T-4T. Yes our son has a big head (must be those Harper genes) no offense family, I have a big head. This morning Matthew and I went on a walk around the neighborhood and it was pretty cold. It has really felt like fall lately, I love it. Glen's next test is on Monday. He has been working really hard, I am proud of him. Matthew's two front teeth are in now and two more of his top teeth are coming too. He has a few bruises these days from falling over. Glen bought me a YMCA pass and I went the other day and took Matthew to the daycare. It was kind of sad to leave him but it was also great.

Such a happy boy

Our beautiful home!

The pretty street that we live on
Here are some pictures of our apartment. Some were taken when we first moved in so there are some boxes and stuff still hanging around. We are really loving it here and were so happy to find this place. I will have to post some pictures of our kitchen and Matthew's room.
I was not planning on having a washer and dryer here and was so excited when I found out this place had one. I really feel like I'm in heaven having a washer and dryer and dishwasher.

Our new table that my mom and I refinished (the top). It didn't turn out exactly how we wanted but it looks great. It looks kind of small in this picture but it's really quite big. I love it. We got it for half the price because of the finish on the top so it was a great buy.

I love our bedroom. It is a really big room compared to our old apartment

AHHH!!!

I finally cut my hair. I was so scared as I drove to the place and if Glen wasn't in the car with me I might of turned around. The girl cut off my hair in a ponytail and I freaked out just a little bit when I saw it. Luckily it turned out good. I do like it but it will take awhile to get used to. I know I will miss my long hair but so far the short hair feels good. It will be so fast to do so I am excited about that. I will send pictures soon. I hesitate sending some because I know I never like peoples hair as much after they cut it short....we'll see!!

Last swim of the summer

Matthew is quite the cool dude. We had to hold his arms down so he wouldn't pull the sunglasses off just for the picture. The water was really cold but Matthew got used to it really quick. We went with some friends from our ward at another apartment since ours doesn't have a pool

We love pajamas!

Matthew's new toy. He is doing well walking with this thing although sometimes he gets going too fast and falls on his tummy(which is not a position he enjoys much). It also turns into a little car that he can sit on and he has started to scoot backwards on it. These pajamas are too cute! They are size 18 months and fit him really tight.
We're so glad when daddy comes home!!

We have not had the internet for awhile so sorry I have been not good at updating the blog. Things are going good here in Toledo. Glen just had his first exam on Tuesday and he got a 94!!! Way to go honey!! In medical school they do grades a little different. You either get a pass, high pass, or honors. Glen got a honors and he is really happy about doing well on his first test. I have been reading books, walking with a bunch of girls from our ward and still been trying to get everything put away in our house. On labor day we went swimming with some friends and went to a cute little town called Perrysburg. I will have to take pictures of the cute little houses for you mom. Matthew is doing good. I took him to the doctor and he does not have another ear infection which was good. The doctor thought he might have acid reflux. I think he has just been fussy lately because he is getting his top teeth and they are taking forever. He is really funny. He loves to dance. It is really funny to see him shaking his head back and forth when he hears music or when we start singing. He is such a wonderful little boy and I am so glad that I can be with him everyday.
