Cancun was a lot of fun and it was nice to get away for awhile. Glen's family was all very helpful with Matthew but it was really nice when Glen finally got there. Mostly because I missed him so much. He did let me sleep a little longer one morning by taking Matthew for a walk early in the morning. Matthew decided to wake up at 4:30 every morning which made me very tired. Glen came on Thanksgiving day and got to spend two days there while Matthew and I stayed a week. It was fun to play with Matthew on the beach and in the pools. The sun felt great!! Flying with Matthew is a little crazy but he did okay. Three weeks and we will be flying again for Christmas break. YEAH!!! This video was from last night. It really sounds like Matthew is trying to see the words, pretty funny. He loves when Glen comes home! Tomorrow I take Matthew in for his shots/1 year check up and we are going to an ear, nose, and throat doctor to see what they think about Matthew's reoccuring ear infections, to see if they think he needs tubes or not. Poor Matthew, I think he has gone to the doctor too much that he really doesn't like it. They look at him and he starts screaming. Should be fun!!

Yeah Matthew

Matthew has sure been eating a lot lately. The spit up was pretty funny. Don't worry he isn't throwing up anymore, just spitting up. He is doing a lot better.

Christmas...already??

I know, I know, it's a little early to be thinking Christmas but I talked Glen into letting me start putting up Christmas stuff since I was going to be gone a week in November and we are leaving so early in December. I was so excited to find this tree. It only cost us 30 dollars and it's 7 feet tall. I thought that it was a pretty good find. We went and got balls for it at Hobby Lobby and they were all half off so it was great. I love it!! Glen laughs at me because I love Christmas so much. Below is a picture of our new pillows that Glen and Kirstin got me for my birthday. Thanks so much, I love them! The beautiful flowers were from Leisy and Lindsay for my birthday. They are so sweet! I have been putting up the rest of our decorations too. Matthew loves the tree and sadly there aren't many decorations towards the bottom as he loves to take them off.

Sweet boy

Matthew is still sick but hopefully things will get better from now on. He threw up again on Tuesday night. We were really surprised because it had been 4 days since the first time he threw up. We went for a drive twice during the night to get him back to sleep because he was not calming down. Today he seems a lot better and the diarrhea is slowing. I feel like he has gotten so skinny (I know to most of you he probably still looks chubby). The picture above Matthew is doing one of his new tricks. When I say up, he stands up, and when I say down he gets into squating position. He first did it in the bathtub, he's pretty funny.

Today I was really bored since I haven't been wanting to take Matthew out much since he is sick so we started packing for Cancun. We leave next Saturday, the 17th. I was going through all Matthew's clothes to see if he had any summer clothes that fit him. I am getting really excited to get away and get some sun. I am sad that Glen will only get to be there two full days and I will be there 7. We are going with Glen's family and some of his aunt and uncles and cousins.

Jello for the happy, sick baby

Matthew is doing a little better although he still has the runs very frequently. He does not want to drink much so yesterday we gave him jello since it has a lot of water in it. He is being so good and staying fairly happy even though he is sick. We love him sooooo much!

Poor Matthew

We have had a hard couple of days. Poor Matthew is still not doing too well. He isn't throwing up anymore but has crazy diarrhea. It started sometime during the night or early morning on Saturday. He has been going every 30 minutes for quite awhile. Today it has gotten a little less but still every 45 minutes to an hour. Everytime it is a blowout so I am very grateful for a washer and dryer at this point. We are a little worried about him getting dehydrated but are trying to force fluids. We went to the doctor again on Saturday and they gave him another big antibiotic shot like the one they gave him in the emergency room. The ER was not a very fun experience for anyone, especially Matthew. They tried to put an IV in him but couldn't find a vein so they poked him a lot. They came and took his blood twice and did an x-ray on his chest. After all of that he started screaming when anyone came into the room. Smart kid knows that everybody was being mean to him. They were worried because his white blood cell count was really high and thought the infection might get into his blood or that he might have pnemonia, which he doesn't. I think the white blood cell count was high due to his double ear infection. Poor guy! He has been acting pretty good although yesterday evening and a little of today he has been crying a lot. We sure wish he could just tell us what is wrong. He just screams everytime we have to change his diaper because his bum is so sore. I hate doing it. Hopefully things will start getting better although today I haven't been feeling so hot so I think I got a little of what Matthew has.
