Week off in Michigan and Canada
We had a great time visiting Glen's parents and grandparents. Matthew warmed up very quickly and was quite the entertainer talking constantly. He is very good at responding to questions and confirming what he says himself by saying "uh-huh" or "yeah." It is pretty funny. He loved exploring two different houses and did very well with all the changes. He even was pretty good on the 4 1/2 hour drive to Toronto. The drive back to Michigan was not as enjoyable and very loud. Oh well!! Matthew's favorite word these days is papa. He called both Glen's Dad and Grandad papa all the time. We also got to attend the temple which was great. It is always nice to visit with family and get away from home sometimes.

YEAH JONATHAN!!!
Congratulations Jonathan on graduating from high school. Since our card and gift is going to be a little late I thought I would just tell you on the blog how proud I am of you and what a great little (big) brother you are. You are one of the sweetest people I know and are such a good example to everyone around you. Life just gets more and more fun as you have college and a mission to look forward to. I love you and wish we could be there tomorrow. We will be seeing you pretty soon. Yipee!!Tuesday, May 13, 2008
I love you mom!
Don't look at me in this picture!! This is one of the only pictures of my mom that I could find on the computer.
Mother's Day was a little bittersweet as I was really wishing I could be with my mom. She is such an amazing, energetic, and fun person. She has taught me so much and is always there for me. Sadly my mom has been in the hospital for quite a few weeks now. One week her hands and feet started feeling tingly and numb and it continually got worse to where it was hard to walk. They took her into the hospital in Salt Lake and found out she has Guillain Barre syndrome. I have been an emotional mess at times because this was such a random thing and I
couldn't believe it could happen to my beautiful, active, and young mom. They are treating it now but she can't walk, although she has a little with the help of a walker, which is progress. She will get better, but we don't know how long it will take for her to walk. She has been so positive and I'm sure I would not be as positive if it was me stuck in the hospital that long. My Dad has been going back and forth from Idaho to Salt Lake to see her but I just wish I could be there and hang out with her every day. She is such an amazing woman. I feel so bad that she has had to miss many of my brother Jonathan's final activities as a senior in high school; his track meets, seminary graduation, etc. I love you mom and can't wait to see you in July!! You are such an amazing example to me and I am thinking about you and praying for you always!

Just a little excited
Here is the girl bedding I bought last summer. Yesterday I had to go out and buy a girl outfit. Luckily this dress/coat was only 7 dollars so Glen isn't getting too worried about me spending too much. It is very different thinking and looking at girl stuff now. I think I will get used to it and already am enjoying it.
Matthew is a great helper and really likes to help with the wash. I always let him put the clothes in the washer and take them out of the dryer. While I was folding the clothes in our living room Matthew was discovering the dryer. I was surprised to find him in here and he didn't want out. I decided to do the dishes and get lunch ready and he just sat in there talking to himself and playing.Monday, May 5, 2008
IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!
We are very excited to be having a girl. Everything looks great and my due date is the same so that's good. We were surprised but not surprised because this pregnancy has been very different from when I was pregnant with Matthew. Wahoo!!

Poor boy
Our poor Matthew has had a horrible cough and has not been sleeping very much. He coughs so hard it just wakes him up. Because of this Glen and I have also been a little sleep deprived. I had to take a picture of Matthew asleep on our LIVING ROOM FLOOR. For those of you who really know Matthew you know that he has never been an easy child to get to sleep. He was never one of those babies you could just rock to sleep even from birth. We had to try everything as he has grown. Luckily he is very good at talking/singing himself to sleep in his crib but only his crib. Yesterday he was looking a little tired as he was rolling around on the floor with his blanket. I about died with shock when all of a sudden he was asleep. That shows how sleep deprived he must of been to do that. It was only 9:15 in the morning. He usually naps around 12:30. Sadly he woke up after ten minutes from coughing and went back to sleep two different times after that for just a few minutes. It was quite a sight for me.
Matthew discovered this cupboard the other day for the first time. You can get into it from two sides, one side is from the bathroom. He will climb through it over and over; he thinks it's pretty funny and I don't mind something that keeps him occupied for awhile.
I was trying to put this saucer away since it has just been sitting in Matthew's room without being played with. He kept whining about something and I finally realized he wanted me to tip it over so he could get inside. He thought it was a blast.
