Matthew Update

I really need to take some more recent pictures of Matthew. They will be on there way soon. Matthew is changing so much to me lately. He is our little social butterfly. He loves looking at people. He would rather have someone sit and talk to him than play with toys most of the time. He will stare at you until you look at him and smile and then he gives his big, wide, gummy smile right back at you. It is so cute!! For the past little while he has been sitting up which makes him seem so old. He loves it and so do I because he can see better and play with toys longer that way. The other day he sat in the shopping cart without a car seat and it was so fun. He is also eating oatmeal cereal which has been a blast. At first he loved it so much and would just open his mouth so wide and kick his legs in excitement. We are going to wait awhile to feed him other stuff but for now he's loving the cereal. Matthew is now weighing in at about 23 pounds. Our little chunker does not seem to be slowing down. He is just getting funner and funner as more of his personalitly comes out. He is talking a lot which is cute but a little loud for church. He is giggling a lot, sometimes I dance crazy in front of him and he laughs or if Glen and I are laughing he joins in. Lately his has been pretty cranky because his two bottom teeth are definately coming in. This is causing me some very tired arms from holding him so much.

GRADUATION!!

Picnic before Graduation at Rock Canyon Park. Glen and I got engaged up rock canyon!!! ohhh!

After graduation with the parents. It was a fun day to have our families with us on this special day. We packed up all our stuff that morning for the move so it was a busy day. It was a very bitter sweet time for us leaving Provo. We have really enjoyed it and it was sad to leave our friends, school, and just all of the memories we have had here. The night before we left was kind of sad. We slept on a blow up mattress in our empty apartment and of course I started crying talking about leaving. The best times of my life has been here; hooking up with Glen on our ward activity to temple square to see the lights and eventually getting married in the Salt Lake Temple, and then having Matthew in November. However, we are really excited to be moving to Ohio in August. We just about have our apartment there figured out. It has been such a pain getting that figured out over the phone. The people made us send them so much stuff but I think it's almost over. I'm excited because our apartment is right next to the medical school so Glen can just walk to school and Matthew and I can walk over and eat lunch with him. We will also be close to Glen's family in Detroit which is a little less than 2 hours away. There is a park and a zoo and the grocery store close by, all which are very important and which I will be spending a lot of time at with Matthew. Overall, we are excited to be moving on and doing something all new for us.

Family Cruise!!

So family, when is our next cruise?? I wanted to put this picture up to remind everyone how fun it was and that we should start working on mom and dad right now! I think Jonathan wants to go to Lake Powell next summer except that it is getting really expensive. So I think most of us would agree that if it is that expensive we might as well go on a cruise right? Just a thought.

So Cute!

I found these pictures of Glen and I as kids on my parents computer and thought they were so cute.

Here we are in Idaho!

Glen and I are staying here for the summer in a little house close to my parents and my brother and his family. Glen is working on the farm!! It is funny to see my city boy coming home all dirty and talking about the beet fields and pivots. He is liking it so that is good. He still however wants to be a doctor-he doesn't like it that much I guess. He works long hours and I am trying to keep myself busy, although Matthew does a pretty good job of doing that. I have been doing my scrapbook since I am years behind, walking every morning, visiting with my mom and sister in law, and just being a mom. We really thought this first picture was funny. We forgot to put on the overalls and straw hats though. It's funny because that is not what farming is really like out here. We have no animals and they spend a lot of time in air conditioned tractors with cd players. Glen is spraying beets everyday and rides the 4-wheeler like in the picture. It is different not living in the city. I guess it saves us a lot of money because we can't really go out to eat or shopping for clothes very easy. It looks like we will be moving to Ohio for sure so we are looking forward to that. I am excited for two bedrooms and a dishwasher. We really are moving up in the world one thing at a time.
