Glen's birthday was on April 10th and he turned 29!! He left home that morning at 4 something and got home around 8:30 that night. I told the kids all day that they could stay up to see their Dad even if it was past bedtime. Glen ate dinner while we started on the key lime pie. The kids were so excited to have Glen open his presents....especially the lunch box that they picked out for him. I interviewed the kids (idea from pinterest) with questions about their Dad and it was pretty cute. It was pretty funny and I think we will do it every year to see how their answers change. It was a long day for Glen and a short and sweet birthday party. We sure love him!!!
This morning we went to an Easter Party at a family in our wards house. They really went all out and it was so much fun. They have donkeys, chickens, and little chicks to look at. The kids fed the donkey ginger cookies and held the little chicks. They had a bouncy house for the kids to jump in and a duck/water game made out of PVC that Matthew and Taylor spent a lot of time with. The Easter Bunny was there and of course they had a Easter Egg Hunt in their huge lawn. Someone was making popcorn and there was face painting too. It was quite the event. I guess they do this every year so it will be something to always look forward to! Glen missed it because he is taking Step 3 right now (3rd boards exam...which is two days long for 8 hours each day). When he is done we are going out to celebrate being done with his test and his birthday which is on Tuesday. We are going out to eat and to watch The Hunger Games and maybe do a little shopping if we have time. It has been a long time since we went out to eat or on a date at all really. I am excited!
The Easter Egg Hunting has begun!! Today Matthew's preschool had their Easter party and luckily they had extra bags and eggs to let Taylor participate too. She was pretty happy about that! After they found all of the eggs we had lunch back in their classroom. I can't believe Matthew will start kindergarten in just over 4 months......it is going to be here so soon. I am going to miss this handsome guy while he is at all day kindergarten. Taylor is going to be so bored without him.I taught Taylor's preschool group at our house on Monday and we also had an Easter Party. The girls had fun and us Moms got to visit. We even found a turtle in our yard which the kids loved. Malynn, Sally, Taylor, Mariah (missing Willa)
