Feeling old

I need to vent a little today about something that is driving me crazy. I have had bad knees for a long time but they have gotten worse since this last summer. It hurts really bad to bend down, go up and down the stairs, sit in a chair, and just bend my knee. I really don't know what it is and I need to go get an x-ray. Today it was really bad and I had to limp to walk, so no walking group........sad because I love walking group. We usually walk around 3 miles and it feels great. So it has just been really annoying because sometimes it is bad enough that I can't exercise and that makes me very very sad/mad/ect. It comes and goes which really makes me wonder what it could be. I'm only 23, too young to have such problems right??

Oh Matthew

This morning Matthew was being so silly. He loves sitting on the couch and always wants me to lift him up. He starts bouncing and grinning so big. I think it makes him feel like a big boy sitting like us adults do. This morning he was just laying here for quite awhile, which is probably a minute, but for Matthew that is staying in one spot for a long time. He is usually always on the go. The last couple of days he has woken up at 7:15. I am in heaven!! He usually wakes up between 6-6:30. Now if only he would take a good nap but hey you can't have everything.

I clean up this mess many times during the day. I probably should just move the bookshelf upstairs but I like it where it is. This is a lot funner than toys right now.

Lately I have been trying to let Matthew really feed himself and as you can see I think he really enjoys it. It does make a mess not only all over Matthew but also our floor. He will learn better aim eventually!

Dutailer brand

Sorry, no pictures this time. I am trying to not take quite so many pictures or at least print them out so I don't have to scrapbook sooo many. I figure Matthew is one and I don't need to take pictures of every little funny face or funny thing he does. I have not even started his scrapbook or gotten caught up with mine. That is one of my goals this winter, we'll see how it goes. I do have a question to anyone who wishes to comment. With some Christmas money I have been wanting to buy a rocker/glider/something. I have been looking around at babies r us and other places. The price range really varies. I got advice to not get the wooden glider type that are not very wide because while nursing or whatever the babies head bangs into the arm rests. So I have been looking at the more chair looking rockers but they are quite expensive. I found my favorite brand, Dutailer, which makes a wide wooden glider (super comfy) and the cute rocker chairs. They are expensive but it really might be worth it if the cheap ones will fall apart. Give me your advice please!!!!

Medicine Ball

Last night we went to the medicine ball and it was a blast. It is a dinner and dance for all the medical students. We had a group from our ward and it was a lot of fun to go and dance and do something without the kids!! Thanks to Glen's parents for babysitting Matthew.

Matthew news: He got his first molar. Yesterday I finally noticed it. It probably had been there for a little while and I just didn't see it. I was happy to find out that the tooth coming in was the reason for his crankiness awhile ago. The other one should probably be coming soon. YIPEE

Christmas break!

We had a wonderful Christmas break in Idaho. It was so good to see all of my family and be together for so long. Besides the fact that we all got sick at one point or another, especially the kids, it was a lot of fun. We played games, watched movies, played basketball and ping pong, went snowmobilling, went skiing, sat in the hot tub, and ate good food. Thanks mom and dad for making it such a nice break. Our family is the greatest, I love you all. It is good to be back home though and it really feels like home.

Thomas and Matthew in the tub. Mom had fun with the foam. These two were quite the pair following each other around all over but not really paying much attention to each other. They hardly looked at the yellow foam on each others heads.

We read the nativity and sang songs out in the shop. Nolan got straw and everything, it was a really neat experience

Too bad Savanah wasn't in the picture. Getting ready to go tubing which we ended up not doing because the weather got too bad. We played basketball and ping pong in the shop instead
