Getting a little silly before bed

Matthew was being a little silly and confused one night. He gets pretty funny sometimes before bed and during the day sometimes too.

Swimming

Saturday we went swimming at the Hilton by the medical school. We can go there with our YMCA passes. The first time we went it was freezing so it wasn't as fun. The water heater must not have been working but it was nice and warm when we went this time. Matthew really loved it. We had so much fun with him. He kicked his legs like crazy and was all smiles. We even dunked him a couple of times and he didn't seem to mind. Glen enjoyed giving Matthew a swimming lesson (sort of).

Yes, we are having a baby

So Glen thought we should just put that little baby thing on the blog and say nothing else. But as a girl I know people want to know more. We are very excited to be having another baby. I was having some really bad cramps so we ended up having an ultrasound and they moved my due date up a week. The due date is now September 26th so I am around 12 weeks a long. I was feeling just awful but now I am doing a lot better because they gave me some anti nausea medicine which has been helping a lot. I thought it would just be easier to tell everyone through the blog and thus avoid having to tell everyone in person. Also, I just couldn't wait any longer. It's hard to keep things like this a secret for very long.

Matthew of the jungle

This big gorilla was sitting right at the window staring at us and eating lettuce. Matthew was really focused on the big guy who was eating lettuce. I finally looked down at Matthew and he was chewing just like the gorilla was. It really made Glen and I laugh.

We had a fun time at the zoo the other day. Matthew really liked the fish, gorillas, and the sloth bear. It seemed all the animals gave us quite a show by coming right up to the windows. The sloth bear came right up and was sticking his big nose on the window smelling. Matthew joined in and was smelling him back. It was pretty funny. One of the polar bears came flying right at the window out of nowhere and I think it scared or at least surprised me more than Matthew.

Spring Break....not very spring feeling.

This is how we always find Matthew every night when we check on him before we go to bed. Usually his head is right in the corner of his crib too. I love his little bum sticking up in the air, so cute!! Sometimes we try to move him on his back but he usually flips right back over again.



We had a fun time visiting with Glen's parents up in Michigan. It is always nice to get away for awhile. Matthew's grandad was his favorite person because he was the one who fed him a cupcake!!
Matthew really enjoyed riding in this little wagon at first and then I think the blocks he was sitting on were hurting him. We had a fun time visiting and Matthew was very busy. He really enjoyed running around the house and playing with all the balls. He was constantly saying ba bah.

I am already loving having Glen home so much. We have a few fun things planned for this week: the zoo, main library downtown, maybe the art museum, swimming (indoor of course), movies, walks with Matthew, and just hanging out. Glen has been such a big help around the house and with Matthew; I don't know how I will adjust back to not having him around most of the day. I think there is one day this week where we will hit 50 degrees. We also have at least two days of snow. yipee!!

So funny

Matthew is such a silly boy. It doesn't take much to get him in laughing fits like this one. His favorite thing lately is riding his horse (Glen). I will have to get a video of it sometime. He really thinks it is pretty funny and starts laughing when he falls off the horse. I love him so much.
