Matthew is back in the hospital today. I think this fun little trip we had to Napolean might have set him off. We had a bad night the night before last and he got a lot worse yesterday even though we were doing his breathing treatments. He woke up last night and his breathing sounded horrible and he wouldn't calm down. Glen took him in last night and they should be coming home later tonight. I just hate that I can't be there with him. I hope this is the last time we have to do this. It's a little scary when he gets that bad. I think they will be giving us something else to give him so I hope it will help. Poor Glen....we are both sleep deprived from the other night (and every night really) but Glen didn't get much sleep the last two nights and had to miss school today to be in the hospital with Matthew. On a happier note, our little trip to the corn maze thing was a lot of fun. Matthew loved milking the fake cow and playing in the corn the most. It was a fun fall thing to do and fun to be out in the country. Taylor is doing pretty good. She has a hard time eating sometimes and we are wondering is she has a milk problem or something. She seems to be in pain a lot and her stomach gets really hard. She goes to the doctor soon for her 1 month check up so we'll see if there is anything we should try with her. She might just be a little like Matthew which I try to just handle and not get frustrated with. She doesn't cry near as much as he did and sleeps a lot more in the day but she is starting to pick up a little especially in the afternoon-evening. She is so beautiful though and we really are enjoying her. I don't want to sound too negative; things really are pretty good as long as we can get Matthew at least sleeping through the night and doing better. I am so grateful for my two beautiful kids and wouldn't trade them for anything.

Sister fun
My sister Holly came to visit from California and was here Thursday through Monday. It was so fun to have her come visit. I wish we were neighbors! She was so nice to come and left Jack and Jordan at home although Matthew would have loved to see his cousins. We did a lot of fun things and spent a lot of time just hanging out. It was nice to have another set of hands and it was so great to get out a lot and go do things. Holly took Taylor most evenings and let us sleep. Taylor is such a sweetie but seems to have some tummy problems and becomes quite the unhappy, restless, awake, little girl in the evenings starting around 9 or 10 until about 12. ahhhh She really fights going to sleep because she seems very uncomfortable. I think Glen and I are going to take turns in the evenings if this continues. Matthew sure liked Aunt Holly and was asking where she was every time he woke up in the morning. He would just sit and talk to her; it was pretty cute. It was sad to have her go yesterday but I am so glad she got to come. Love ya HollyTuesday, October 7, 2008
I love my big boy!!! We are doing pretty good, just a little sleep deprived but I guess that is expected. Taylor does pretty good at night but is wide awake and not too happy around 10-11. Glen and I would much rather be asleep at that time of night right now. I look forward to getting her on some sort of a schedule. Any advice would be appreciated. We will get there; I have to remind myself that she isn't even two weeks old yet. Today I am taking both kids to the doctor with me. I am a little nervous but I figure I need to be brave and just do it. I hope they both do well

Matthew being a good boy during his breathing treatment. We have only been doing it once a day now. He still is coughing and gets worse when we go outside. He gets a runny nose when we go outside too so we are pretty sure he has got allergies too. We will probably take him back to the doctor sometime soon but he is doing pretty good. He is a happy boy and is smiling in this picture behind the little maskThursday, October 2, 2008
Our little girl
My little boy

They let me go see Matthew while I was in the hospital which was so nice. I missed him so bad and was worried about him and feeling bad that I couldn't be there to be with him. I just had to wear a lovely long sleeved gown so I wouldn't get any germs to take back to Taylor. He did so well in the hospital with the breathing treatments and everything. He did have an awful night there with very little sleep. Glen and his mom also got no sleep either. Taylor and I on the other hand did quite well that night. I started crying (of course) when I saw Matthew because he looked so cute in his little gown just walking around the halls of the hospital and playing with all the fun toys they had. It's a good thing they had a playroom because I don't know what he would have done being stuck in there all day. It looks like Matthew does have asthma and he has been on medicine and taking the breathing treatments throughout the day. He is so good about it. We have to do it during the night and he will just sit up and hold the little mask up to his face himself. We really are being blessed right now. I don't think we could handle Taylor waking up and Matthew also waking up and screaming. Matthew still coughs and sounds wheezy at times and I am just ready for the cough to go away. He is doing well besides being a little hyper. Poor Glen's mom who is really taking care of him these days. I think from everything going on he is just hyper and throws a few more tantrums than normal. He has been pretty good with Taylor for the most part. He is very interested in her and gives her hugs and kisses but he is starting to act a little more jealous. Today he was hitting both me and Taylor so I am a little worried when Glen's mom leaves and she isn't here to entertain him. A lady came down to my room while in the hospital to talk to me about asthma and pretty much it made me paranoid about everything. We don't really know what triggered Matthew but were pretty sure he is probably allergic to a few things. Taylor is doing pretty good for the most part. She sleeps a lot during the day which is good because sometimes she is not the happiest little thing when she is awake. It seems she has an upset, gassy tummy or something. She is very cute though and we are having a lot of fun with her. I just wish Glen could be around more right now but you really can't take time off from school. I am feeling really good besides the whole nursing business. I found out today I have mastitis which just feels great. But luckily I got right into the doctor and got an antibiotic today so hopefully it will clear up soon.
